Today I watched the medal ceremony for the women’s all-around gymnastics. I’m not entirely sure why, but I started crying. Not just tearing up, but actual tear drops running down my cheeks. I watched feeling so proud of Nastia and Shawn and so genuinely happy for them.

Tonight during the Olympics, they did a segment on Shawn Johnson who is from Des Moines, Iowa. Normally, I’m not excited about Iowa since I’m from Minnesota and all. However during the segment, Shawn Johnson and her mom went grocery shopping at HyVee. HyVee is the awesomest grocery store ever!! I miss home.
