I know a lot of Christians who don’t celebrate Halloween, but my family has always celebrated it. We were never dressed up as anything evil. My favorite costumes as a kid were an M&M, a construction worker, and a princess. We’d always go trick-or-treating in our neighborhood for a little bit and then head to church for the “Hallelujah Party”.
I like giving out candy on Halloween to trick-or-treaters. I haven’t been able to do it since I lived with my parents. This is the first year I haven’t lived in an apartment since I’ve been on my own so I’m kinda excited about it.
Sunday evening, Jesse and I experienced another first together. Our first time carving a pumpkin. We’d both done it as kids. I drew on the face. He carved it out and we both dug out the insides. I’d forgotten how much pumpkins stink. I don’t like pumpkin pie or any food having pumpkin in it.
