Snack: 1 piece of sugar free candy

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything. Shame on me.

No luck on the job search I have discouraging days and encouraging days. I did some tweaking on my resume today since I’m tired of not getting any calls.

I received my first unemployment check today which is both happy and sad at the same time.

Saturday, Sarahk threw a bridal shower and bachelorette party for me with my old co-workers. We had a great time. If you haven’t played “Apples to Apples”, you really need to. It’s really fun! And I’m getting better at playing the guitar in Guitar Hero.

Angelina and I go to the gym 5 days a week together. We also went to the $1 theatre on Tuesday to see “Nights in Rodanthe”. Nicholas Sparks. My favorite. It was a good movie. I recommend seeing it-perhaps as a date night movie with your significant other.

Kitty and I were both sick last week. We’re much better now!

So what’s with having no trick-or-treaters? I was so looking forward to handing out candy to cute little kids in costumes. Instead I got a bunch of teenagers not even dressed up. Coloring your hair blue and orange is not considered a costume in my opinion. I got one group of younger kids, but one boy was so rude, I only gave him 2 pieces of candy. (I had been giving out handfuls)

My sister said she only got 3 trick-or-treaters at her house. I remember one year when my parents were gone on Halloween I handed out all the candy. We had over 50 trick-or-treaters and they were all dressed up. Tonight I think I had at the most 12. I’m very disappointed.

This week the show is split into two nights cause of the presidential debate.

Phil and Amy decided to use their 24 hour visit home they won the first week of competition. As expected, I’m crying my eyes out.

Shellay and Amy also cashed in the prize they won the first week- 24 hours with their trainer. I’m starting to not like them very much. Shellay seems lazy at times.

Brady and Vicky won the challenge and received a care package from home. Here come the waterworks again! At this point in the show I said to Jesse, “They need to quit with this emotional crap. I can’t take it anymore.”

At the weigh-in, Ed and Heba fall below the yellow line. Heba lost 8 pounds, but Ed didn’t lose any. They spend the next hour deciding which of the two of them will leave the show and decide on Ed. Amazingly enough I’m not crying over this, but Jesse kept looking over at me to see if I would. LOL! Since leaving the show, Ed has lost 85 pounds. His goal for the finale is 180 pounds.

Yesterday was mine and Jesse’s 2 year anniversary. It doesn’t seem like 2 years at all. We went to the airshow in Mountain Home and ate at Outback to celebrate.

Today is my birthday. That’s right folks, I’m the big 2-6. Jesse and I went to the mall for my present.  He wanted to get me jewelry, but I decided he should get me something more useful. I headed straight for the coach hand bag counter at Macy’s. I loved this striped satin purse but it was over $300, so the purse and I parted ways. After Jesse pulled me away from the coach counter, we headed to the Dooney & Bourke counter. We both made comments like, “eeew, that’s ugly.” And I went on to say, “I don’t really like Dooney & Bourke”. I then went to search for the Kate Spade section when Jesse hollered for me and held up this adorable purse. “Oooh, I like that one” I said. Guess who designed it? Yep, Dooney & Bourke. Now, I am the proud owner of a Dooney & Bourke purse. I know, you’re jealous!

So this weekend I got all caught up with Season 3 of “The Hills”. Now maybe I’m kinda old to watch The Hills, but hey, what’s wrong with watching ridiculously mind numbing shows on MTV every once in awhile?

The cast members of The Hills are live at the premiere party. Seriously, we needed a premiere party? This isn’t the Grammy’s is it? Lemme check…uh, no. Anyway, tonight we start with a replay of season 3’s finale where Lauren, Lo, and Audrina move into the house together.

I’m thrilled they shrunk the commercials on the screen to make room for The Hills trivia! I mean, really, I just can’t get enough of The Hills. Yeah right.

Ok, I have a couple things to say about the finale- What the heck is Heidi thinking? Don’t choose your loser boyfriend over work! Lauren already did that and look how things turned out with Jason. Lauren, are you blind? Lo is totally trying to ruin your friendship with Audrina.

The replay of the last 3 episodes of Season 3 is a big ol’ waste of time considering MTV played the whole season all weekend long.

MTV is coming out with two new shows- Exiled and Busted. Exiled is about spoiled rich snobs who go to another country to learn a “life-long lesson”. Yeah, I’m sure that will last. Busted is about teenagers breaking the law and getting caught. We need a show for that?

The premiere party is dragging and, I must add, totally lame. Get to Season 4 already!

The show begins with Lauren and Whitney at work. Lauren has a date tonight with Doug whom she dated in high school. Audrina’s birthday is this week; Lauren and Lo are throwing her a party and Lo is even helping. Heidi’s sister is coming to LA for the weekend. Spencer just moved back in with Heidi and Heidi’s sister doesn’t know they are back together. Uh oh. Shockingly, Spencer is being a butt. Doug asks Lauren out on a second date in like the first five minutes of their date. Desperate much?

I’m anxiously waiting for the drama between Lo and Audrina to begin in this episode. Ok, on to the party. Here we go. Lo asks Audrina who she invited and Lo’s response is, “well, we’re just gonna have to enjoy the company that comes.” Audrina walks out of the room and Lauren shoots Lo a “what the hay?” look. Holly, Heidi’s sister, gets an LA makeover. Holly yells at Heidi for not telling their parents that she and Spencer are back together. Heidi says she isn’t sacrificing anything for her relationship with Spencer. Yeah, ok.

Lauren comes in to find Lo during the party. Lo’s upstairs playing with the dog. Lo says she feels like she’s making an effort with Audrina and it isn’t reciprocated. Um, ok, she’s a liar, selfish, and witchy.

Ooh, I love Holly’s makeover. Cute extensions! Lauren thinks Lo’s gone threw hoops for Audrina. Pass the crack pipe, sweetie, so I can think good thoughts about Lo too.

Lo apologizes to Audrina for being absent at her party. She tells Audrina they’ve tried making things work and Audrina says she doesn’t click with Lo. Lo says the blame is put on her and she doesn’t think that’s fair. Ooh, poor baby. Audrina feels that Lo has an attitude. Right on, sista! Audrina says she has friends that treat her good and include her and that she and Lo will never be friends. Yay for Audrina!

I got home from the gym and was going to jump in shower. Kitty had joined me in the bathroom as she usually does because she prefers to drink from the bathroom sink. I know, she’s spoiled. Anyway, I turned the faucet on in bathtub to get my desired temperature and noticed that Kitty had jumped onto the ledge of the bathtub in between the shower curtain and the liner. I tried convincing her that wasn’t a good idea, but she wouldn’t hear any of it. She stayed there just about through my entire shower. Strange cat.
